We had our appointment yesterday with my gynecologist to get our results:
Sperm – Normal! Plenty of handsome little spermies, who swim in straight lines
Fallopian Tubes & Ovaries – Clear! No blockages and ovaries are both producing follicles
Hormone Levels – Normal! (Although at certain times of the month Michael would seriously question this)
So, our unpregnancy is unexplained and we fall into the 30% of infertile couples who have no idea why their sperms and eggs just don’t want to party. Our options from here are: go see a fertility specialist now - who will probably tell us we are still 3 months away from winning the official ‘infertile’ title - or wait for 3 months and then go see the FS or just keep trying and hope things will happen naturally.
I wish this wasn’t such an expensive time of year. Usually I’d just go see the FS, but with Christmas coming up it’s a bit trickier. You can’t exactly give someone a Christmas card with:
“Merry Christmas!
We spent your present money on investigating hormones and ovulation timing.
Love, Bonnie & Michael”.
Or can you?

You will have to wait until after Christmas to see a specialist anyway.
BTW I lost the link to this blog for ages but have caught up now.
Hey Bonnie, glad to hear everything is in working order and will pray that the sperms and eggs hurry up and get it together.
Lucy makes a good point too - you often have to wait to little while to get in to these places from what I hear.
